Pack each event as a complete labeled unit: outfit, undergarments, jewelry, shoes, accessories and event-specific items. Photograph the completed set, place a checklist inside the bag and assign one named person to move and verify it. Important documents, medicine and high-value jewelry require a separate security plan.
A multi-day wedding can involve several outfits for the couple and several more for close family, moving between a home, a hotel and more than one venue. A simple packing system prevents most of the problems that interrupt a wedding morning.
Should every event have a separate bag?
Yes. One bag per person per event keeps each complete look together and makes it obvious when something is missing.
Label every bag with the event name, date and owner, and place a written checklist inside. When the bag is opened on the day, the checklist shows at once whether anything was left behind.
Colored tags by event make bags easy to sort at a glance when several family members are getting ready in the same suite.
How should jewelry be organized?
Keep everyday event jewelry with its outfit, and keep high-value jewelry separate under one person's direct care.

Who should be responsible for moving the bags?
Name one person for each set of bags and make sure they know where each bag must be and when.
That person confirms the bags arrived at the right room, knows the steaming plan and brings them back after the event. Sharing the responsibility loosely is how outfits end up at the wrong venue.

What should stay in a personal carry-on?
Anything you cannot replace quickly should stay with you.

Before checking out, one person should walk every room with the packing list in hand.
Check wardrobes, bathrooms, safes, under the beds and behind doors. Wedding weekends are exactly when jewelry, chargers and small accessories are left behind, and a single structured sweep is the simplest way to prevent it.
